About SumFair
A bill-splitting tool built by people who spend their days making financial documents add up.
Why we built it
Every existing split app made the same trade: either everyone at the table installs it and signs up, or one person does the maths alone and everyone else trusts them. We wanted the opposite: one person holds the phone, everyone else joins in ten seconds from a link, and the receipt itself becomes the shared object, line by line, until it adds up.
We also wanted the boring parts done properly. Deposits attached to the right bottle. Tips proportional to what you actually had. Rounding that never loses a cent. Rates that don't shift after the fact. A trip you can settle halfway when someone leaves early.
Who is behind it
SumFair is developed by the team behind a family of commercial .NET PDF and document-conversion libraries used by companies worldwide since the late 2000s. That work is about documents that have to be exact, reproducible and auditable, which turned out to be exactly the discipline a bill-splitting engine needs.
The company is based in Bucharest, Romania, and operates under EU law and GDPR.
